Fast and versatile

The printing process of a 3D printer can easily take hours. A laser machine operates at a significantly higher speed. So you can accommodate a greater number of students within the limited class hours available. That speed makes it also easier to practice. Tests and prototypes using different materials are made in no time.

User-friendly and quickly up and running

No need for hours of training to get students working with the laser machine. They’ll master the software in no time. And after brief instructions, your students can use the machine independently. Swiftly moving from idea to result: that’s the driving force!

Fun and educational

The laser machine supports teaching a fun, challenging and educational class. Students actively participate and see immediate results.

Safe and clean

When working with a saw or milling machine, you’re dealing with sawdust and splinters. Debris that requires caution and also needs cleaning up. When it comes to laser cutting, there’s no such concern: it’s a safe and clean process. As an added bonus, you get perfectly finished edges, so no post-processing is required.

A complete learning journey

Students can think of all kinds of things, but how is a design properly turned into a laser-ready file? A laser machine is the perfect tool to bridge theory with hands-on-practice. Crafting flat-cut pieces makes it remarkably simple to fashion a three-dimensional object. That is where your students transition from 2D to 3D, expanding their spatial comprehension. They brainstorm, sketch, experiment and refine until the desired end product is achieved. Introducing a laser machine provides a comprehensive and invaluable learning journey.

Did you know?

A well-equipped functional suite of technology is a big investment to any educational institution. The power to provide an engaging learning environment comes with a price tag. The good news is that often there are funding options available. Not only in one-off grants but also with financials mechanisms that will please your school’s accountant. It is definitely worth looking into this. You can also inform with your BRM business partner if they have information regarding grants.

Frequently Asked Questions

What materials can I machine with a BRM laser?

There are a lot of materials which can be used in a BRM Laser. Commonly used materials include wood, foam, glass and Plexiglas.

Which BRM laser machine suits me and my applications best?

By answering three questions, you can make this choice a lot easier. What materials are you processing? What specifically do you plan to do? (Cutting, engraving or both.) What work surface do you need? Once you have this listed, we'll help you determine the very best option.

How precise is the laser cutting and engraving on materials like acrylic and wood?

The machine offers high precision, with an accuracy of 0.1mm per position. While materials like foam may affect precision due to burning reactions, cutting acrylic results in very precise cuts as the material doesn't melt beyond the laser's cutting path.

What safety features does the machine have to prevent accidents during operation?

Our machine holds a Laser Class 1 certification, verified by an independent third-party company. This certification ensures intrinsic safety, safeguarding against typical usage scenarios. However, it's essential to handle the machine responsibly, as it won't protect against deliberate misuse.

Can your machine handle various thicknesses of acrylic and wood, and if so, what are the maximum dimensions it can accommodate?

Our machine accommodates various thicknesses. It can cut thin materials like foil at 0.1mm or less, while the strongest laser source can penetrate through 10mm acrylic and thicker wood categories.

Is the software user-friendly for beginners, or does it require prior experience with laser machines?

Absolutely. Our software features an intuitive interface and includes an internal help guide. Additionally, upon delivery, a technician will provide on-site instruction, allowing you to ask questions face-to-face. Should further assistance be needed, our support portal and team are available at no extra cost.
