Thanks to the generous dimensions and flexibility of the BRM 100160 laser machine, Reli-Pack B.V. can now offer its customer base a wider range of products. Reli-Pack offers more than just attractive packaging; they provide a comprehensive packaging solution. On request, they can also fill packaging for their customers with, for example, liquids, granular materials or powders. In addition, they vacuum-pack plastic blisters and trays, and thermoforming is also one of their specialities. This varied range also included a customer’s request for self-adhesive textile patches to repair outdoor clothing.
That size for that price? That’s interesting!
To meet that demand, Aalt Melgert (director of Reli-Pack) set out to find a machine capable of actually producing it. During that search, he initially found nothing that suited him properly. Until he attended a trade fair for completely different matters and came across a software company with a BRM laser machine. Complete with a price tag. Then he realised that if he could acquire that size for that purchase price, he would really be able to compete. That made it worth pursuing. By contacting BRM, he ended up at VROTECH.
Pleasant interactions
When purchasing the laser machine, Mr Melgert initially dealt solely with Ton Vroon from VROTECH. That interaction went extremely well. The interactions with BRM, who supplied and installed the machine, were also perfect. At the time of installation, Reli-Pack was still operating from Barneveld. Mr Melgert had plans to move to Nijkerk and mentioned this straight away. Following installation at the old site, the move to their new premises was coordinated. That too was carried out very well.
After a bit of trial and error, testing and learning on his own, he came to understand the machine much better. This meant he had a greater say in the content of the training, as the knowledge he’d already gained enabled him to ask much more specific questions. He really appreciated the fact that the course was delivered in-house on their own machine.
“I was given a very clear explanation, which meant I understood straight away how to use the machine.”
An in-depth training course
There was quite a long gap between the purchase of the machine and the in-depth course that VROTECH provided at Reli-Pack. Mr Melgert has a perfectly valid reason for this. He wanted to get to know the machine better himself first. If he had taken a course straight away, he would have found it less valuable because he was still completely unfamiliar with it.
